Counseling

individual & Family

Individual and Family Counseling is an important factor in ensuring that the process of reentry is smooth. Individual counseling provides for the opportunity for the participant to express their questions, concerns, and feelings regarding prerelease as well as post-release life. It is important for individuals to participate in counseling because working towards supporting and ensuring their proper mental health will allow for a successful transition period. Family counseling provides the foundation for participants and their families to discuss how both the individual, as well as family members, will be impacted by the transition phase. It also allows for healing and is strongly recommended for all families because everyone is impacted by the transitioning phase. On this page, you will find resources that will help the process of mending any trauma which comes as a result of reentry, for both individuals and their families.
